In 1383, the Chartreux de Vauvlaire in Périgord, expelled from their monasteries by the war, found refuge in Bordeaux. They set up at the North of the city, out of the walls, near the Garonne. Their name gascon de chartros still remains comitted to the Chartrons district..

"The rental agency was very kind and let us checked in earlier than planned. The flat is just as shown on the pictures and the location is just perfect if you want to be near Bordeaux Center. Definitely recommend it for a short stay with friends :-)."
